Tirol Chocolate

Tirol Chocolate?

Do you know the Japanese famous chocolate “Tirol Chocolate”? If I ask people the same question randomly, I am sure nobody answers No.

When I was a kid, I used to go to the penny candy store in Japan. I could get 500 yen (about $5) for the monthly allowance. I used them all at the store. I had to calculate my money carefully to not to spend all of my money at once. Snacks which only cost about 5 yen or 10 yen were my lifesavers. Haha

I guess many Japanese people have similar memory as mine.

One of my favorite lifesavers was Tirol Chocolate. Well, what is Tirol Chocolate?

The price is 10 yen and tastes good!! They have some flavors. Coffee Nougat, Milk, Strawberry, White&Cookies, Biscuits, and Almonds. These flavors are regular, but they are producing many other flavors.

New Flavors

One of the new flavors which is released this month is Melon bread chocolate. I know it sounds weird.

Melon bread is Japanese sweet bread. If you have a chance to visit Japan, I want you to try it. You will love it. It doesn’t taste like a melon, but the shape and look are like a melon. And the feature is texture. The bread is covered with biscuit dough. Now you are curious, right? Haha

Sorry, I don’t want to talk about melon bread today. I want to talk about melon bread Tirol chocolate oops…

It is Melon bread flavored chocolate, but the inside of the chocolate is a cookie, so actually, you can enjoy the feature of melon bread too. I haven’t try this flavor yet, but I will definitely will.
