Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas has come again this year!!!
Japanese Christmas differs from Western countries in cultural background and availability of ingredients. We would like to introduce the Christmas culture that has developed and taken root in Japan!

・Japanese put lovers before family on Christmas Day

Actually, Christmas is a “spend time with one’s girlfriend” day in Japan. It is unique in Japan to prioritize your lover over your family.

・Eating cake or fried chicken

Another characteristic of Japan is that cakes are eaten on Christmas day. In countries other than Japan, there are many Christmas sweets, so sometimes people wonder why cakes are served on Christmas.

It is unique to Japan that fried chicken is a standard menu for Christmas. In Western countries, turkey is roasted whole at Christmas. However, because turkey is hard to find in Japan, fried chicken has been used instead.
